Mind Garden

Mind Garden is a tremendous life manual that anyone can pick up and use. Based on Napoleon Hill's 17 Universal Principles of Success, the author's analogy of tending to your mind as a garden culminates with a Treasure Map and the Six Steps to Riches. Mind Garden gives new life to the old adage “you reap what you sow” in a simple yet powerful metaphor.

We first make a decision to plant a garden, then we plan backwards from there. A garden starts in the mental realm of one's mind and not in the physical realm of the soil. Everything starts with the creative seeds of thought, and grows according to how well one tend to these seedlings. The mind has the power to direct, create, inspire and discern, and the first thing to do is cultivate it, just like one would a garden.

To fully reap, one must fully prepare one's soil. The author's insights bring home the crucial truth that one must be prepared for success before one can finally attain and enjoy it. So many times, we expect success to come to us. The basis for a successful mind comes long before the plentiful days when the final fruits are harvested. The author also prepares us to expect that these tasks, just like the harvest, are a repetitive cycle to be completed throughout the duration of one's life journey.

Napoleon Hill taught that thoughts are the seeds from which all wealth springs. The author's brilliant application of this life truth to the concept of man cultivating his own inner mind is sure to bring out th emaster gardener in all of us.
